(PRAND) is a Non-Governmental Organization established in June, 2004 and registered with No.254/3162 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Societies, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar.

PRAND mainly relies on its strong roots and influence in FATA and NWFP, and most of its activities are based in these areas. PRAND has successfully completed its projects at Mohmand Agency FATA and in rural area Peshawar, on “Promotion of Mother & Child Health and Control of Water Borne Diseases” that includes our initiatives for clean drinking water, Reproductive Health Trainings, health & hygiene, TBAs Training, Resource Persons Trainings and Community Sessions.

Publications

PRAND published a number of pamphlets on Mother and Child health for creating awareness in the community. The pamphlets were distributed amongst the community members during different project activities. A book on mother and child health for resource persons was also published. These Pamphlets, poster and Books were published with consultancy of expert doctors. 

OBJECTIVES

  • Human Rights specially women and Child
  • To raise awareness and build capacity of community through collective efforts in Education, Health & Nutrition, Livelihoods and community infrastructure for their socio-economic uplift       
  • Formal and Non-formal education including literacy
  • To provide a uniform platform for advocacy of all social issues/inequities at a gross root level for policy level changes
  • Upgrading skills and livelihood through vocational education
  • Improving Health (Primary, reproductive and environmental)

It is a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction to see the ideas being implemented by Prand for which I had once dreamed. “Prand are valued according to the intensions” (Al-Hadees). I believe in service delivery with pious intention and double reward; one in this world and one in afterward.

 
 

Our Mission

PRANDD will engage in sustainable development and emergency response, by directly working with communities, based on our commitment to mutual learning and the need to address the root causes of insecurity and poverty. Our mission is to improve and suggest govt. policies based on research (research-based-policies), and then advocate for the concern issue and at last achieve a comprehensive equal Development for all the people of society abolishing social exclusion, gender biaseness and marginalization of the poor to ensure quality standard life for all people based on equality, justice, indiscrimination, no violence and peace in whole society.

The PRAND’s mission is to ensure the realisation, respect, promotion and protection of the rights of all persons living in KPK, FATA, Pakistan in accordance with Pakistani law and international standards, and to increase human rights awareness and the adoption of a sustainable human rights culture, Development, thereby enhancing democracy, good governance and accountability.
